What's in Our Morning Basket

Our morning time basket consists of various topics and conversations. These books reflect my child's interests and personality. Your morning basket might look completely different and that's OK! The beauty of homeschooling is to pick curriculum/books that suit our children individually and that spark their interests.

In our home we first take attendance and then pick up our On This Day book. It's a fun look at events that took place on a particular day in history. I give her a choice of a book or two to explore and let her browse through it. We pick an interesting topic and explore it together. This can lead to lots of interesting conversations or perhaps a deeper dive into something she had no clue existed. Curating a morning basket or library for your child can take some time. Don't feel rushed into it. Explore one interest at a time and soon you will have your own carefully curated basket of your own.
